How To Prevent Themes From Changing Your Icons and Cursors in Windows 7

If you’re using Windows 7, then most probably you’ve been playing around with Windows 7 new Themes feature. You might also have noticed that the themes are changing your icons and mouse cursors. If you don’t want that to happen, here’s a simple tip you can follow to prevent it from happening

First, Simply right-click anywhere on your desktop, click on Personalize, and then click on Change desktop icons on the left:

Uncheck the box that says “Allow themes to change desktop icons”. You can also use this dialog to select which Icons you want to show on on your desktop.

Now, for the mouse cursors, go back to the personalization window and click on Change mouse pointers which will take you to this dialog:

Remove the check from the box the says “Allow themes to change mouse pointers” and you should be all done.

How To Prevent Themes From Changing Your Icons and Cursors in Windows 7

If you’re using Windows 7, then most probably you’ve been playing around with Windows 7 new Themes feature. You might also have noticed that the themes are changing your icons and mouse cursors. If you don’t want that to happen, here’s a simple tip you can follow to prevent it from happening

First, Simply right-click anywhere on your desktop, click on Personalize, and then click on Change desktop icons on the left:

Uncheck the box that says “Allow themes to change desktop icons”. You can also use this dialog to select which Icons you want to show on on your desktop.

How To Prevent Themes From Changing Your Icons and Cursors in Windows 7

If you’re using Windows 7, then most probably you’ve been playing around with Windows 7 new Themes feature. You might also have noticed that the themes are changing your icons and mouse cursors. If you don’t want that to happen, here’s a simple tip you can follow to prevent it from happening

First, Simply right-click anywhere on your desktop, click on Personalize, and then click on Change desktop icons on the left:

Uncheck the box that says “Allow themes to change desktop icons”. You can also use this dialog to select which Icons you want to show on on your desktop.

Now, for the mouse cursors, go back to the personalization window and click on Change mouse pointers which will take you to this dialog:

Remove the check from the box the says “Allow themes to change mouse pointers” and you should be all done.

How To Prevent Themes From Changing Your Icons and Cursors in Windows 7

If you’re using Windows 7, then most probably you’ve been playing around with Windows 7 new Themes feature. You might also have noticed that the themes are changing your icons and mouse cursors. If you don’t want that to happen, here’s a simple tip you can follow to prevent it from happening

First, Simply right-click anywhere on your desktop, click on Personalize, and then click on Change desktop icons on the left:

Uncheck the box that says “Allow themes to change desktop icons”. You can also use this dialog to select which Icons you want to show on on your desktop.

Now, for the mouse cursors, go back to the personalization window and click on Change mouse pointers which will take you to this dialog:
